While responding to a report of an unusual home entry, police officers in northern Wisconsin,United States, were confronted by several “masked suspects.”
According to the Wausau Police Department’s Facebook page, two “masked suspects” were subsequently found loitering on the roof of a house on the east side of Wausau after other “masked suspects” were discovered inside.
Although officers claim no arrests were made, they did issue a strong warning to the raccoons to leave the premises, which they claim was mostly ignored.
Police advice people to avoid getting close to raccoons. As some may carry diseases like rabies, they can bite or scratch if threatened.Keep garbage cans, pet food, and bird feeders secure to lessen the likelihood of drawing them in.To keep undesirable “guests” out, look for simple entrance points and seal them off when you can. For secure and considerate help, contact a certified wildlife removal company if you see raccoons in or around your house.
