
A $200,000 woolly mammoth tusk at an exhibit in Branson, Missouri, is allegedly shattered by two men from California.
The incident took place at the Ancient Ozarks Natural History Museum.
According to Taney County Sheriff’s Office investigators, Todd Azevedo and Brett Howard are charged with felony property damage, KY3 reports.
Howard attempted to hang from the tusk of a woolly mammoth skeleton by climbing onto Azevedo’s shoulder Investigators say. When the tusk hit the floor, it broke. The tusk weighed about 200 pounds and was worth about $200,000.
