
After being paid more than $26,000 to carry out an assassination, a 12-year-old child was arrested in Sweden on suspicion of killing the wrong person.
A 21-year-old man was shot and died in a car on December 12, in Malmö, southern Sweden. The child mistakenly targeted the wrong person in the car, Swedish daily newspaper Aftonbladet reports.
The police were informed of gunfire at a vehicle shortly before 11 p.m. on Friday. The 21-year-old man was found shot in a Hindby car shortly after. Later, the hospital declared him dead.
The victim and his friends were driving along Galgebacksvägen in Oxie in an Audi when the shooting happened at around 10:30 p.m.
The 12-year-old was arrested on December 16, after police identified him as the primary suspect in a murder investigation.According to court records, he has now been turned over to social services and given legal counsel.
