The toyger or toy tiger, is a medium-sized, rare short-haired cat with tiger stripes.Toyger cats were developed in the late 1980s by breeder Judy Sugden in California by crossing Bengal cats with tabby-marked domestic shorthair breeds.
The tiger-like stripe pattern that spans their entire body helps to identify toygers. Their stripes branch out in a striking pattern over an orange-toned background, in contrast to typical tabbies.
Toygers are highly intelligent, laid-back, friendly house cats that enjoy spending time with their families.A medium-sized domestic cat Toyger typically weigh 7 to 15 pounds or 3 to 7 kg, average lifespan 12 to 15 years.
The Toyger cat breed requires low maintenance. To keep its coat in good condition, occasional grooming is necessary.
