
By capturing 60 Burmese pythons, the 2025 Florida Python Challenge champion helped to remove a record-breaking 300 of these animals from South Florida’s ecosystems, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC).
During the 10-day competition, 934 competitors from 30 states and Canada worked together to remove 294 pythons from South Florida, setting a new record, according to the FWC.
Taylor Stanberry emerged as the Ultimate Grand Prize winner, removing 60 pythons and earning an award of $10,000.
