The UN Security Council Holds Meeting to Discuss the Middle East Situation

Tor Wennesland, the Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, urged all parties in Gaza to “avoid unilateral steps and provocations” and “take steps to reduce tensions,” adding that “everyone must do their part to facilitate ongoing discussions to stabilise the situation on the ground and avoid another devastating escalation in Gaza.”
