
While travelling from Wat Chedi Luang in Chiang Mai Province to Wat Saen Thammaram in Mae Taeng District,Thailand, a monk from Wat Chedi Luang, a significant Buddhist temple situated at the heart of Chiang Mai’s Old City in Thailand, recently came upon a vehicle transporting two buffalo calves and, alarmed, gave the truck instructions to follow and inquire about the calves.
He found that although the two calves were still alive and being taken to the slaughterhouse, their mother had already been killed. After that, the monk bought the calves, Channel 7 News, Thailand reports
Under the care of the Rural Development Study Foundation, Wat Pa Dara Phirom Royal Monastery, Mae Rim District, Chiang Mai Province, the two buffalo calves will be added to the cattle and buffalo bank system.
