
Marissa Groenewald skips her way from South Africa’s Pietermaritzburg to Durban on Sunday during the Comrades Marathon.Known as the rope runner, Groenewald, 41, of Hillcrest, will compete in the arduous 89.98-kilometer marathon while constantly skipping and flipping her jump rope. This year is the 49th down run and the 98th edition of the Ultimate Human Race.
According to Sunday Tribune,by achieving this amazing feat, she is creating history for Love Justice International, a cause that is dear to her heart.Human trafficking is being combated by this organization. With a focus on transit surveillance, Love Justice is able to stop trafficking victims before they cross international borders, return them to safety, and reunite them with their loved ones.
