While strolling along a popular hiking trail in the Southern California city of Ojai, a woman recently had a tense encounter with a mountain lion.
On July 3, Cortney Rasura was hiking the Gridley Trail by herself when the frightening incident occurred. Rasura told local TV station KTLA that she was staring down at her phone when she saw the mountain lion and began to record it as it approached her head-on.
After a while, the mountain lion spins around and disappears behind some bushes. Rasura stated that the mountain lion has not been sighted since, although she is reconsidering hiking the trail by herself for the time being.
