Sister René Parman turns 105 years old on September 21. She’s playing golf to celebrate in Lowellville,Ohio,USA, just like she has done for decades. She is joined by her fellow Humility of Mary nuns.
According to local TV station WKBN27, at the age of 18, Sister René started the process of becoming a nun immediately after graduating from high school. After that, she taught for several years at schools all around northeast Ohio. She then attended her first-ever golf outing while she was in her 40s.
She began playing golf every Friday with some of her friends in the 1980s and 1990s. It remains their weekly custom to this day.Even though Sister René has experienced several injuries and is legally blind, she hasn’t allowed those to stop her from attending the course.
Sister René says that this season might be her final one before she hangs up her golf clubs, but her pals don’t think she could make it.
