
Originating in Poland, the Polish Hound, also called the Ogar Polski, is a hunting dog breed.
The Polish Hound is a medium-to-large dog.Females are slightly smaller, measuring roughly 55-60 cm or 22-24 inches while males measure 55-65 cm or 22-26″. Weight should be between 20 and 32 kg or 44 and 70.5 lb which is proportionate to height, lifespan 12 to 14 years.
The coat has a dark, tan tone. The back of the head, the entire back, the flanks, and the top of the tail are all covered in black or dark gray. The rest of the body has a tan tint, which can vary from mahogany to yellow. There is always a darker hue to the ears. Certain places, like a patch on the chest or a stripe on the head and muzzle, are permitted under the standard to be white. The legs, toes, or tip of the tail may also be white.
Polish Hounds, being hunting dogs, require a lot of mental and physical exercise.The Polish Hound is a large breed of dog and should be fed a premium dry food made for large dogs.
