According to media reports, 60-year-old man was still wearing starkers when the police stopped him in his car roughly 20 minutes later.

About 20 minutes later, the 60-year-old guy was pulled over by police in his vehicle while still wearing starkers. The man was advised to put his clothing back on by Queenstown police, and he did so without any problems. Although it is not illegal,police stated that there is certainly a place and time for driving while nude. Because the police did not think the man was drunk at the time, he was not given a breathalyzer test.According to the police, the man claimed to be a sovereign citizen who was acting in accordance with Māori law.
