
The native dog breed of Venezuela is called Mucuchies, after the town of Mucuchíes.Mucuchies are loyal, independent and brave, making them great guard dogs. The Mucuchies dog breed builds a close bond with it’s humans.
Male mucuchies size between 22 to 28 inches or 56 to 71 cm whereas female mucuchies measure between 22 to 28 inches or 56 and 71 cm.Male mucuchies weight is between 30 to 50 kg or 66 to 110 pounds, female weight varies from 30 to 50 kg, or 66 to 110 pounds; average lifespan 10 to 12 years.
Mucuchies dogs are either white or white with black, brindle, and apricot spots.Their hair is thicker, with a more noticeable wave in the chest region, and their coat is medium-short and thick. Their legs have relatively light feathers, but their long tails are covered in fur and feathers.
Mucuchies are active dogs despite their large size, so regular exercise is necessary. These dogs require extra space, such as a large backyard, not suitable for apartments.They need little maintenance and grooming, but frequent brushing is always better to reduce shedding.
