In the popular hot spring town of Yugawara, Kanagawa Prefecture,Japan,monkeys are out of control. They are rifling through houses, attacking dogs, and eating anything they want, including bread and bananas.
Officials from Yugawara Town stated that they plan to collaborate with Kanagawa Prefecture and other authorities in order capture all of the monkeys causing the damage, in response to the growing problem, TBS News,Japan reports
The town’s survey indicates that in the last three years, over 26,000 incidents of damage to daily life have been reported, including 930 incidents of injuries to individuals last year alone.According to locals, monkeys slipped inside and stole food by masterfully lifting window screens.
Officials from Yugawara Town stated that they plan to work jointly with Kanagawa Prefecture and other authorities in order capture all of the monkeys causing the damage, in response to the growing problem.
