

After the terror attack in Pahalgam, Maharashtra Cyber has identified that seven Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) groups were behind more than 15 lakh cyberattacks against vital infrastructure websites throughout India.Only 150 attacks were successful out of them, officials reported on Monday.
According to them, Indian government websites are being regularly targeted by cyberattacks from Bangladesh, the Middle East, and the neighboring countries, even after India and Pakistan reached a truce to halt armed hostilities.Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attacks, GPS spoofing, and malware campaigns were among the techniques used. There were also reports of Indian websites being defaced.
According to media reports,the state’s nodal cyber agency has described the cyberwarfare carried out by hacker groups affiliated with Pakistan in a paper titled “Road of Sindoor,” which was created as part of the military campaign against terrorists titled the same.The State Intelligence Department and the Director-General of Police are among the important law enforcement agencies to which the report has been sent.
Yashasvi Yadav, Additional Director-General of Police, Maharashtra Cyber, stated that the research indicated that groups from Indonesia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and the Middle East were responsible for these cyberattacks.
Pakistan Cyber Force, Team Insane PK, Mysterious Bangladesh, Indo Hacks Sec, Cyber Group HOAX 1337, National Cyber Crew (affiliated with Pakistan), and APT 36 (headquartered in Pakistan) are the seven hacking groups mentioned in the report.
