In what police believe to be a horrifying case of mistaken identity, four armed intruders attacked a grandmother’s home and demanded narcotics while holding her at gunpoint.
On November 22, CCTV footage captured the males, equipped with a sawn-off shotgun, a baseball bat, and a hammer, climbing the front fence at Tambourine in the hinterland of the Gold Coast in the dark, 7News Australia reports
Batman, her dog, bit one of the intruders on the leg in an attempt to protect her, but the men were unfazed.
The intruders ransacked the home for about 40 minutes, before eventually realising the woman did not have the drugs they were seeking.
According to the grandmother, she still feels afraid in her own house. The men poisoned her dog with food they left there before running away, but it’s okay now.It is thought that the intruders took money and drink with them when they drove off in a silver Chrysler.
