
More than 100 piles of cremated human remains were found on federal property close to Searchlight, Nevada, some 50 miles south of Las Vegas.Authorities are investigating the incident.
Local TV station, KLAS 8 News Now reports that at the location near a gravel road outside the small town of Searchlight, they discovered what looked like charred flesh in addition to pulverized bone and ash.
The origin of the remains, which is yet unclear, is being investigated by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM).In Nevada, there is no legal restrictions against scattering ashes on public property.
