For the first time since his birth, the butthole-less puppy has achieved significant progress in his medical journey by learning to poop on his own. In June, Tooshie gained attention after a backyard breeder turned over the five-week-old cavoodle to Warwick Vet.
According to Perth Now, the puppy was identified by veterinarians at the Warwick practice with Atresia ani, a rare birth condition that causes the anus to be blocked or absent and has fewer than 120 reported cases.
The puppy named Tooshie has managed to void on his own for six days in a row, which is quite a feat for a small puppy who didn’t have a butthole until a few weeks ago.
