A four-meter tiger shark that was captured on a drumline on December 8 on the southern Gold Coast, Australia, has been captured on camera.
Social media users have shared drone footage of a government contractor hauling a dead shark onto a boat in the waters off Snapper Rocks at Rainbow Bay, 9News, Australia reports.
Online comments on the video were mixed; some were relieved that the shark was out of the water, while others were upset that it had been killed.
The 4.1-meter shark was one of 11 tiger sharks captured at Rainbow Bay so far this year, according to a spokesperson for the Department of Primary Industries.
