A woman from the Florida’s Palm Coast is submitting a petition to expand the Sunshine State by adding a new county named for the 47th president of the United States.
Legislators and Governor Ron DeSantis are urged in the petition to rename a section of Flagler County “Trump County,” WKMG/ClickOrlando.com reports.
The petitioner, Jen Herold, stated that the county would encompass the coastal barrier islands off the counties of Flagler, St. Johns, and Volusia.
The Matanzas and Halifax rivers divide this range from the mainland, extending from the northern tip of Anastasia Island to the southernmost point of Ponce Inlet.
The petition mentioned President Trump is a once-in-a-generation leader, a superb negotiator, a giant of the real estate industry, and the greatest president of our time, according to the petition. As the first president to live in Florida, it’s time to pay tribute to his remarkable legacy by creating Trump County, Florida’s 68th county, as a permanent reminder of his influence on Florida and country.
