Tulip Lake in the Botanical Garden of Jundiaí, a Brazilian town near São Paulo, has become deep blue due to a chemical accident. The event occurred when a vehicle carrying five 1,000-liter dye tanks collapsed, spilling considerable amounts of liquid into the area.
According to media reports, the accident was so catastrophic that three of the tanks were flung across the road. One of them struck homes, causing noticeable damage to facades and vehicles, while the other two spilled their contents directly into the lake.
Some of the fish and birds appeared dead, while the water took on a neon-blue color.Although not extremely harmful, experts confirmed that the product includes acetic acid, a substance found in vinegar, which changed the water’s pH and caused an ecological imbalance.
