
In Ontario, Canada, a 36-year-old man hijacked a city bus, but he kept going to all of the planned stops and letting people get on and off as normal.
Before being safely stopped and arrested by the police without incident, the man allegedly refused entry to a passenger whose bus pass had expired.
On November 11, a Hamilton Street Railway bus arrived at a bus terminal at around 9 p.m. The Hamilton Police Service in Ontario, Canada claims that the driver got off the bus to take “a short break,” FOX 9 KMSP reports
A 36-year-old man got into the bus when it was unattended and drove off with people still inside, according to the police.
While driving, the unnamed person stopped several times to let passengers get on and off as they wanted.
According to a police press release, he even went so far as to refuse to let one person board because their bus pass had expired.
The suspect has been charged with stealing over $5,000, possession over $5,000, obstructing police, and driving while prohibited after police safely stopped the bus and arrested the suspect without incident.
