The Chortai greyhound or Chortaj is a Ukrainian breed.They may reach amazing speeds when chasing their prey because of their deep chest and long, slender legs.
The size of this dog is medium to large.Fawn, brindle, and black are just a few of the common colors of its short, smooth coat.They are intelligent, loyal and alert making them excellent companion dog.
The height of Chortai is 65 to 75 cms or 25 to 35 inches, Weight 18 to 35 kg, average lifespan 13 to 15 years.
According to experts, since they are hunting dogs by nature and have a strong tendency to chase small moving objects, care should be taken when handling small pets and they should always be kept on a leash when out on walks.
