After smashing through a home’s ceiling, a black bear was discovered resting on a stove in Bell County, Kentucky, United States,on May 21. A bear inside a home prompted a call to Game Warden Derick Creech. Creech found the bear sitting on the kitchen stove, where it had fallen from the attic above through the ceiling.
Authorities believe the bear climbed a ladder outside the house and entered the attic through a gap before making an unannounced plunge. Creech managed to lead the bear through an open door and out of the house, with the assistance of a Bell County Sheriff’s deputy. The amount of damage to the house is still unknown, and no injuries were recorded, according to media reports.
