
Chery Automotive has been producing automobiles in China for almost 30 years, but it is now also create bipedal humanoid robots. Mornine the robot has a highly biomimetic design that imitates human movement and form. Chery and Aimoga, a tech firm with extensive experience in robotics and artificial intelligence, collaborated to build it.
Chery subsidiary Aimoga developed the robot, which was also displayed at the company’s pavilion at the recently held Auto Shanghai 2025 event.The bipedal Mornine robot features long, artificial blond hair and a noticeable humanoid female body structure. Its “biomimetic” design incorporates a silicone face with mechanical ‘muscles’ that can imitate mouth and facial movements.
Mornine is performing a number of customer service duties in its current configuration, including welcoming guests, delivering drinks, and helping with test drive reservations.To process and reply to natural language queries, Morine has a large language model (LLM) built into the system. Its height is 1.66 meters, and each of its 12 axes of motion can be used in 41 different ways.
