
On April 29, a kangaroo named Sheila caused traffic jams on a section of the United States Alabama interstate before being tamed by state police and the animal’s owner.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the kangaroo was seen hopping on the side of Interstate 85 in Macon County, which is between Auburn and Montgomery.
State authorities closed both sides of the freeway to ensure the safety of drivers after the sight snarled traffic. According to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the animal’s owner and troopers successfully captured it. The owner put the animal to sleep with a dart.
