
The American Eskimo dog, which belongs to the Spitz family despite its name, is believed to have originated in Germany.
The thick, double-layered coat of an American Eskimo dog is usually either slightly cream or pure white, shiny, thick double coat with a wide ruff over the chest and neck.
The American Eskimo Toy weighs 3 to 4.5 kg ( 6 to 9.9 Pounds) , Miniature 4.5 to 9 kg ( 9.9 to 19 Pounds) , and Standard 7 to 18 kg ( 15 to 39 pound). Its height is 8 to 12 unches (22 to 30 cm), Miniature 11 to 15 inches (30 to 40 cm), and Standard 14 to 19 inches 38 to 50 cm. Its average lifespan is 13 to 15 years.
American Eskimo are smart, tenacious, and perfect family dogs.They are also excellent watch dogs.
