
A Frisco woman claims that after finding about a dozen scorpions inside her townhouse, weekly sightings prompted her to purchase a new house.She says that she sees one or two of scorpions every week.
Inside her main door and at the entrances leading to and from her garage, she placed sticky traps as a last resort.
According to Ashley Morgan-Olvera, M.S., Director of Research & Education at Sam Houston State University’s Texas Invasive Species Institute in Huntsville, a wetter summer means more “creepy crawlies” are out there, KHOU 11 reports.
The poisonous but non-lethal Tanesha’s scorpions are native to Texas, look like striped bark scorpions, and grow between two and three-eighths of an inch in length,Ashley Morgan-Olvera stated.They are frequently found in homes throughout North Texas.
