After spending hours on a Cleethorpes (the estuary of the Humber in North East Lincolnshire, England) home’s roof, a man was taken into custody. On Tuesday, December 23, at around 2:30 p.m., he scaled the roof of the building in Newbold Court in an effort to avoid being arrested.
For the safety of the public and to enable emergency services to handle the situation, police put up a cordon on Newbold Court and Highgate. A 32-year-old man was detained on suspicion of non-fatal strangulation after a few hours, Grimsby Telegraph reports.
“The cordon that was in place at the time for the public’s safety has now been lifted, and emergency services have safely resolved the situation,” a Humberside Police spokesperson stated.
