
Authorities arrested a suspect for human remains theft and graveyard burglaries.Ephrata, Pennsylvania resident Jonathan Gerlach, 34, has been charged of several crimes, including burglary and corpse abuse.
While under surveillance at Mount Moriah Cemetery, detectives found skulls and bones in his vehicle.At Gerlach’s residence and storage facility in Ephrata, they found more than 100 sets of human remains, FOX 29 Philadelphia reports.
Gerlach was detained at the cemetery with a burlap bag that contained thirty human remains, many of them youngsters, according to the prosecution. More than a hundred human skulls, big bones, and jewelry taken from cemeteries were found during a search of his Ephrata house.
