Authorities claimed that they had arrested a guy from Florida after finding the body of a British woman who had reportedly come to the United States with the intention of being killed.
After the finding of the victim’s remains in Marion County, Dwain Hall, 53, of Ocala, was arrested on charges of first-degree murder and kidnapping, according to a statement from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, FOX 35 Orlando reports.
The woman met the man online and was searching for someone to torture and murder her. The woman was identified as Sonia Exelby by the authorities. One week after she boarded a trip to Florida, her body was discovered buried in a shallow grave at a Marion Oaks residence, according to authorities.
According to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), the U.K. woman, who was dealing with mental health issues, allegedly stated on a fetish website that she was seeking abuse.
Officials claimed that Dwain Hall accepted her offer. For allegedly using Exelby’s credit cards, Hall was taken into custody in October. Since then, he has been accused of first-degree murder and kidnapping in connection with her demise. At Hall’s initial hearing earlier this week, a judge denied his request for bond.
