
On September 20, a ball Python several feet long was discovered slithering around the Washington DC Fire Training Academy facility.
A firefighter spotted the ball python on Saturday during routine weekend training, according to DC Fire and EMS spokeswoman Vito Maggiolo. Despite being a rare occurrence, Maggiolo stated that the snake did not significantly interfere with training, NBC4 Washington reports.
There are no restrictions on the size of nonpoisonous snakes, such as ball pythons, that can be kept as pets. The firemen’ name for the ball python, Pete, is his solo outing.Washinton D.C animal control laws clearly mention animals cannot be outside the owner’s house without the owner present.After his capture on September 20, Pete ended up into the animal control custody.
