A Barren County,Kentucky,United States,substitute teacher is facing charges for alleged sexual misconduct involving an underage student.
Krystal Sims, 30, was arrested on October 2 after the Barren County Sheriff’s Office received a report that she had contacted the children to set up a sexual meeting.
The student told the deputy on October 2 that he had met Sims when she was a substitute teacher in his class, according to an arrest citation. Later, the student added Sims accepted a friend request on Snapchat, ABC 13 WBKO News reports.
According to the citation, the student told deputies that he and Sims started discussing meeting up for sex in Cave City on August 22.
The boy claimed that Sims showed up in the shower with her breasts uncovered during the video call that followed, according to the citation.
Sims told deputies during an interview on October 2 that she had been approached by a number of students who wanted to add her on social media, but she denied their requests.
Although she acknowledged that she was the woman in the recorded call, she claimed that she had only consented to meet with the student in order to have him express regret for his actions in class.
