A black bear was directly behind an 11-year-old boy when he rushed into a Pennsylvania Family Dollar store. The boy and the cashier scrambled for shelter as the bear charged through the front doors. There was video of the bear leaping over the front counter.
Cole Frazee, the youngster, said that he and his father went to the Family Dollar in Markleysburg to pick up a few things. When Cole walked outside to find out why his father was taking so long, he noticed a black bear staring at him, CBS News Pittsburgh reports.
Frazee first thought things will turn around. Rather, it began to follow him. The bear turned around and ran into the store while it chased after him, screaming and all.
Frazee said that as he ran up and down the aisles in an attempt to get away from the bear, his heart was racing. He rushed to the cashier for help as she was the only other person in the store.
To get a better look, the cashier grabbed Frazee and they both leaped on top of the counter. They recognized their one and only opportunity as the bear turned and moved toward the rear. Then the bear turned and moved in the direction of the rear.
